About Bud Suse

Bud Suse, author of Closing the Whales, graduated from Central Missouri State with a BS in Education, majoring in English.

After graduation, Suse spent nearly two decades working for large companies such as IBM and Tektronix, primarily in sales management.  Like so many others, though, the attraction of being part of a successful startup was more appealing, and as a result, the latter half of his career was spent working with startup companies in the electronic design automation industry.  During that time, Suse held a number of personal growth positions: West Coast Sales Manager, National Sales Manager, Director of International Major Accounts and Vice President of Sales.  One of those companies, Mentor Graphics, became a very successful startup: today nearing $800M in annual revenue.

As a direct employee and as a sales consultant, Suse has conducted seminars on the subject of winning large, complex sales opportunities worldwide.

Suse and his wife, Sue, reside in Southern California.  They have two children and three grandchildren.
